Tata Group firm Voltas is looking for a double digit growth in the aircondition segment as the company is expecting a longer and severe summers this year along with pent-up-demands from the consumers. Besides, Voltas would also focus on the growth of the air-cooler segment as it is expecting to sell five lakh units by FY18.
The company which launched power saving range of All Star AC and all weather AC is expecting that the new products would help Voltas to grow its volumes in room airconditioning segment. “This category is to grow about 10 percent…for brand Voltas we have been always outgrowing the industry numbers in last many years. Through our new range of products as split airconditioners and window ACs we would continue to grow more than the industry,” Voltas President and Chief Operating Officer Pradeep Bakshi said. The company gets 73 percent sales from split AC and rest 27 percent from traditional widows AC.
