Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved 6.67-K.M.-long extension of the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line from Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic City.
A statement released by the government said that the Centre will have a liability of over ₹340 crore out of the entire project cost amounting to ₹1,967 crore.
“In a major boost to public transport infrastructure in Noida, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the extension, which will cover a length of 6.675 km. Government of India liability will be ₹340.60 crore on account of Grant and Subordinate Debt,” read the statement. Extension of the Delhi Metro’s network from Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic City is part of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Phase III project.
