Toray Industries (India) to set up production unit in Sri City - Feedback

Toray Industries (India), the Indian subsidiary of Toray Industries based in Japan, performed ground-breaking ceremony for its new production base in Sri City in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh on 11 July 2018.

Company will manufacture products to be used by diaper-makers such as Unicharm, Proctor & Gamble, and Kimberley Clark, besides automotive, electrical, and FMCG goods.
This facility is the second production unit in India, and will spread over 85 acre with an initial investment of Rs.1,000 crore. It will have two plants – polypropylene (PP) spun bond plant to produce advanced technical textile meditech used in diaper-manufacturing and engineered plastics resin compounding plant to make raw materials for electrical components of automobiles and electronic connectors.
