Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd is collaborating with 30 companies, institutions and funding agencies for technology innovation to introduce energy efficiency measures.
The company is tying up with General Electric, IBM, RayChem and 3M as well as USAID, USTDA and Fin Pro for carrying out research in developing cost-effective energy saving technologies. It has collaborated with IBM for developing call centre analytics and GE for theft analytics. The company has collaborated with IIT Bombay, Stanford University, University of Canada, University of California and University of Finland for rolling out pilot projects in energy efficiency and home automation technologies. “The collaborations are benefits for partners for learning as we are an established utility. They can further roll out the successful projects in other markets,” said Praveer Sinha, chief executive of Tata Power Delhi Distribution.
