Scania committed to Make in India, has invested Rs 300 crore in 5 years - Feedback

Heavy mover Scania, which has been exploring opportunities for a foothold in the Indian truck and bus market, today announced their plans to further foray into the territory with two of their flagship releases, a bus, and a long haul truck.

Speaking at the Auto Expo 2016, Scania India’s Business Unit MD Mikael Benje stated that the company is planning a long term presence in the country, and that they have already invested Rs 300 crores spread across 5 years towards developing the brand in India. Speaking at the launch of Scanis’a flagship premium truck G310, the MD announced that the company is mulling more transport offerings for the city, and that they are focusing more on availability, average speed, and fuel efficiency for their offerings in India.
