Maharashtra clears Rs. 130-cr road upgrade – Feedback

In an attempt to build top-class road network in the rural areas of the state, the state government in Maharashtra recently cleared rural road projects of Rs. 130 crore, said official sources claiming that these road building works, which are stretching across over 12 districts, are largely meant for the rural heartland of the state, will be undertaken under the Mukhya Mantri Gramsadak Yojana (MMGY).

Out of the 14 rural roads’ work, which were issued recently, 12 related to MMGY and the cumulative cost of works was also sanctioned under the much hyped MMGY and the decision is not just destined to improve rural connectivity but will also improve the economic activities in these areas opening up employment avenues for the rural masses.
