In its quest to build top-class transport facilities in the state, the state government in Jharkhand has recently laid foundation stones of road and bridge projects of Rs. 4,000 crore, said official sources, claiming that the projects included 55 roads and 13 bridges and DPR for the road construction project worth Rs. 213 crore is already in place. In addition, the Chief Minister has approved a 23 km four lane road construction project in Lohardaga and another 55 km road construction project on the NH-75.
The DPR for construction of bypass roads in Lohardaga, Garhwa, Hazaribagh, and other districts will be ready and the work will be started soon. Apart from this, the state government has prioritized to provide clean drinking water and irrigation facilities for the people of Palamu and to this effect, water from Son River will be provided to households after laying pipeline and creating allied water infrastructure, they claimed.
