India Life Sciences Fund II invests $6.2M in Oasis Centre – Feedback

India Life Sciences Fund II, which focuses on growth capital in the Indian healthcare sector, has invested $6.2 million (Rs 40 crore) for a significant minority stake in Oasis Centre for Reproductive Medicine, a Hyderabad-headquartered leading chain of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) centres.

India Life Science Fund II had made several deals in pharma, medical devices and healthcare services segments, including cancer care network of HealthCare Global Enterprises, Gland Pharma, and eye care chain of Dr Agarwal’s Healthcare, among others. The healthcare services startup, founded by infertility specialist Durga G Rao and seasoned entrepreneur Kiran Gadela, proposes to use the proceeds to expand its chain of IVF centres, apart from exploring acquisition opportunities, said Oasis MD Gadela. “This company has be en growing on initial equity investments by founders and internal accruals all these years.
