Hippocampus Learning Centres to open 500 pre-schools in rural areas by June - Feedback

Bengaluru-based Hippocampus Learning Centres plans to nearly double the number of its low-cost pre-schools in rural areas to 500 across Karnataka and Maharashtra by June next year. The company wants to expand to 5,000 centres in another five years.

The company, launched in 2010 by former Infosys employee Umesh Malhotra, runs 232 centres at present. It has also started to operate classes 1-5 in two existing private schools in an operational agreement with schools in these villages.
