Hero Future awards contract to Gamesa for two wind energy projects – Feedback

Hero Future Energies, an independent power producer (IPP) and a part of the Hero Group, has selected Gamesa, the Spanish manufacturer of wind turbines and the constructor of wind farms, for executing its two wind energy projects of total 170 MW in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Sunil Jain, chief executive officer & executive director, Hero Future Energies, commented, “Post successful completion of 100 MW self-development project at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, we have undertaken yet another self-development project in Kalyandurg, which is one of the biggest project in AP, by an individual IPP at a particular location. In its first phase of execution, we have partnered with a credible player like Gamesa. We are confident of Gamesa’s product line and delivery schedule.” Under terms of the contracts, Gamesa will undertake supply, erection and commissioning of 60 units of G114 2.0 MW T106 turbines for the 120 MW order at Kalyandurg, Andhra Pradesh and will deliver a complete turnkey solution for another 50 MW order at Bableshwar Karnataka with the supply of 25 units of G114 2.0 MW T106 turbines.
