Gujarat goes for Rs. 435-cr road project – Feedback

In order to cater to the expected increase in the flow of tourist traffic to the upcoming Statue of Unity in the state, the Gujarat government has decided to widen the road network leading to Kevadia entailing an investment worth Rs. 435.74cr, the concerned state transport minister said, elaborating that the Dabhoi-Kevadia road will be built four lanes to ensure that vehicles travel smoothly and reach the Kevadia quickly.

The government expects Kevadia to attract large number of tourists once the Statue of Unity is completed. He said adding that the Dabhoi-Kevadia and Ankleshwar-Kevadia Roads will be widened into four lanes in a phased manner to facilitate the tourists coming from central and north parts of the state including Saurashtra and south Gujarat and reach Kevadia quickly, said an official spokesperson.
