Govt approves six proposals to set up SEZs for IT, biotech – Feedback

The Board of Approval (BoA) has approved six proposals from four developers to develop new special economic zones (SEZs) in IT and biotechnology fields, across three states.

Approval was granted to GAR Corporation to set up two IT/ITeS zones, and to Vaxenic India to develop a biotechnology and bio pharmaceuticals SEZ in the state of Telangana. KRC Infrastructure and EON Kharadi Infrastructure received approval for setting up separate IT/ITeS special economic zones in Pune. Information Technology Park will develop an IT zone in Karnataka. The board gave additional time to six developers and units to implement their projects. G P Realtors received approval for further extension of the validity period for developing an electronic hardware and IT/ITeS zone in the state of Haryana. The validity was extended upto 13November, 2017.
