Britannia plans three greenfield plants – Feedback

Biscuit major Britannia plans to invest close to Rs 450 crore to set up three greenfield plants in India over the next three years.

Guwahati in the North East, and Andhra Pradesh and Mudhra in Gujarat are likely to be the three places for the units. Each unit will entail an investment of approx Rs 150 crore. A fourth unit, in Bengal, with a similar investment is also being mulled. The greenfield Bengal unit is still in the planning stages. The company will approach the state government in 2017 for setting up a unit on 20 odd acre of land.
