German solar power plant builder Belectric GmbH has secured a turn-key engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 104-MWp solar project in the southern Indian state of Telangana.
The project consists of six sub-projects that are developed and owned by a consortium and were originated by Think Energy Partners, a US-based company that develops and finances solar power plants in India, Belectric said today. All project details have been approved and Belectric will start construction shortly, according to the announcement. The systems are slated for commissioning in the first quarter of 2017. Once completed, they are expected to supply more than 160 million kWh of electricity per year to the regional power grid.
