The National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHRSCL) has invited bids for 237 km out of 508 km-long Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project, which is the biggest ever contract for civil construction in India. The project would cost about Rs 20,000 crore and the successful bidder will have to complete the work in 44 months.

In one of the biggest fundraising plans in the logistics space, the Shapoorji Pallonji group has partnered the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) to raise a $1.2-billion private equity fund that will invest in logistics centres in the country.

DOT, green mobility logistics solutions provider, will invest $15 million ( Rs. 106 crore) on its expansion to cover 600 towns and cities by 2020. The Gurugram-based green start-up, founded in 2015, is also planning overseas expansion.

The government will finalise its ambitious draft national logistics policy within a month. The Centre had extended the deadline of February 28 for submission of comments from stakeholders till March 8 to incorporate suggestions from them to create a holistic policy.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has outbid rivals including GVK and Doit Smart Infrastructure for the proposed Bhogapuram airport project. The bids were opened on Monday. GMR offered Rs. 303 per passenger, against Doit’s offer of Rs. 261 and GVK’s Rs. 207.

Adani Logistics Ltd, a wholly-owned unit of Mumbai-listed Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd (APSEZ), will buy Adani Agri Logistics Ltd in an all-cash deal at an enterprise value of Rs. 1,662 crore. Adani Agri Logistics Ltd is the agri-logistics unit of Adani Enterprises Ltd, and the transaction is expected to be closed by March.

The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) inside the JNPT port is planning to bid out a fresh land parcels measuring 300 acres exclusively for manufacturing companies. The bid process is likely to be completed by March. World’s largest contract electronics manufacturer, Foxconn Technology Group of Taiwan, has shown interest in bidding for the land.
