Mineral production up 9.4% in August – Feedback

Mineral production from mining and quarrying was 9.4 per cent higher in August 2017 than the production during the same month last year.

“The total estimated value of mineral production (excluding atomic and minor minerals) in the country during August 2017 was ₹18,015 crore.” Coal was the highest contributor at ₹6,158 crore, while Crude oil was the next at ₹5,489 crore. The value of produced natural gas stood at ₹2,225 crore and Iron ore was valued at ₹1,921 crore.
