Punjab Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi on Sunday said the Jalandhar solid waste management cluster would start operations from November 5. “Under this project, electricity would be generated and fertiliser and manure would be prepared from the garbage collected from homes,” Joshi said.
He also said that out of eight solid waste management clusters developed in the state, the fourth cluster at Jalandhar would start its operations on November 5, further adding that, “this project would operate under public private partnership and the company representatives would be involved in door-to-door collection of garbage in Jalandhar.”
