Ahmedabad-based ice cream maker Havmor is set to enter the Delhi market on May 17 as part of plans to expand its presence in north India, managing director Ankit Chona said.
The company, with a turnover of Rs 400 crore and growing at 20% per annum, plans to expand to Uttar Pradesh and Haryana this fiscal, Chona said. The brand predominantly catering to western and central India is also present in Punjab. This year, the company plans to set up a new ice cream facility at Faridabad for Rs 80 crore. This plant will add 1 lakh litres to its existing capacity of 2.2 lakh litres per day. The brand plans to expand to Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh by next year, Chona said.
