Harley Davidson to expand business in tier-II cities – Feedback

US-based iconic cult bike maker Harley-Davidson is expecting growth in tier-II cities of the country where the company is expanding its business. Since its retail operations began in the country in 2010, over 12,000 (Harley Davidson) motor cycles have been sold out, MD, Harley Davidson India, Vikram Pawah told reporters here.

The Harley Davidson has succeeded in building a strong leisure motor cycle culture, he said on the sidelines of the launch of a dealership. The company has more than 65 per cent market share in the segment, he said adding, it was expanding its dealer network in tier-II cities, where growth is expected. With 13 models, the company has set up a manufacturing-cum assembly unit in Bawal, Haryana, Vikram informed. To a query about the proposal to launch lower cc bikes to suit Indian road condition, he said there was no such proposal.
