GE Healthcare, CAMTech to partner for supporting health innovations – Feedback

Medical devices maker GE Healthcare and Consortium for Affordable Medical Technology (CAMTech), an arm of the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Global Health, will partner together to conduct a ‘First Mile Challenge’. The challenge aims at sourcing and supporting health innovations for low and medium income countries.

“The first mile challenge will enable GE to build on a pipeline of problems that need to be addressed to improve healthcare technologies in India. The ideas that can be submitted are open to all and the does not necessarily have to be by a startup,” said Vikram Damodaran, chief product officer for sustainable healthcare solutions at GE Healthcare. “There are three specific care areas that are been targeted. The areas are maternal and infant care, cardiac care and safe surgery.”
