Japanese auto major Nissan on Thursday unveiled its mini-car — Redi-GO — under the Datsun brand, which will be launched in June. The company, however, did not announce the price of car, which is the third product of the Datsun brand that entered two years back.
According to market experts, it is expected to be priced between Rs. 2.50 lakh and Rs. 4 lakh and will be competing with the likes of Eon from Hyundai Motor India and Kwid of Renault India.
The company claims the Datsun Redi-GO, is the first urban-cross in the Indian market that combines the roominess, best in class ground clearance (185mm) and sheer fun of a crossover and blends that with zippy driving and fuel efficiency of an affordable compact hatchback. The car is 100 per cent designed and developed in India with 98 per cent localisation, the company said.
