Kent RO Systems, a manufacturer of water purifier systems, is setting up its second manufacturing facility in Noida at an investment of Rs. 100 crore. The plant will go operational in the first half of 2017.
Addressing media persons at the launch of Kent’s Smart RO water purifier in Chennai, Varun Gupta, Director, said the new facility is expected to double the manufacturing capacity for the company and would include new line of products – air purifiers and cold process juicers. The company is growing at 14-15 per cent annually and clocked revenue of over Rs. 650 crore last fiscal. It is expecting a turnover of Rs. 1,000 crore by 2016-17. The latest launch, RO smart purifier is touch-operated with an in-built microcontroller which senses water quality on real-time basis and displays it on digital screen. It is priced at Rs.25,000.
