Bandhan Bank on Tuesday announced the launch of an international debit card in association with Visa. It has also begun banking services for overseas Indians.
“Bandhan Bank is now ready to serve the vibrant and affluent Indian diaspora in sync with its core philosophy of serving all strata of the population,” managing director and chief executive Chandra Shekhar Ghosh said. For the first five months or so, the bank offered only RuPay card to its depositors. Bandhan said the new debit card will be accepted globally at more than 30 million Visa merchants, either online or in-store, and allow card holders to withdraw cash at 2 million ATMs worldwide, the bank said.
