Gurgaon-based solar power developer ACME Solar has secured a 150 MW solar power project in Haryana at a tariff rate of Rs 5 per unit.

The company will sell the power to distribution company Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd under the renewable purchase obligations (RPO) programme from next year. ACME will commission the project in 2017 and buy land on its own for the project. About 5 acre of land is needed to produce a mega watt of solar energy.
